Welcome to Lolasland.com, an interactive world for girls. The site is based on the character, Lola Love, created by teen magazine writer Lisa Clark.

Lolasland.com (the "Website") is owned by HarperCollins Publishers Ltd ("HarperCollins") and may be accessed through the Internet. By using the Website you accept and agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions of Service, which constitute a legally binding agreement for your use of the Website. If you do not agree to be bound by all of the following terms please do not access, use and/or contribute to the Website.

Changes to service

HarperCollins may change these terms from time to time and so you should check these terms regularly. Your continued use of the Website will be deemed acceptance of the updated or amended terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should cease using this Website.

Member conduct and appropriate content

Please choose carefully the information you post on the Website. You may not post the following items: telephone numbers, street addresses and any photographs containing nudity, or obscene, lewd, violent, harassing, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable subject matter. Despite this prohibition information provided by other users may contain inaccurate, inappropriate, offensive or sexually explicit material, and we assume no responsibility or liability for this material. If you become aware of any misuse of the Website please contact us.

We reserve the right to reject, refuse to post or remove any posting by you, or to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or part of the Website at any time without notice.

If a comment you make on the site, either on your friends notebook or on an article, is reported as inappropriate by another user it will become invisible to all but the moderators who will then revise it and take action within 66 hours. If the message is deemed acceptable it will be made visible again, if moderators decide it is inappropriate it will deleted from the site but will remain in our database indefinitely. We will send out warning emails but reserve the right to terminate your account if inappropriate comments are made repeatedly.

Conditions of use

The Website is for personal use only and may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavours. Unlawful and/or unauthorized use of the Website, including collecting usernames or email addresses of other members by electronic or other means is prohibited. Commercial adverts, affiliate links, and other forms of solicitation may be removed without notice and may result in termination of any privileges. Appropriate legal action will be taken for any illegal or unauthorized use of the Website.

Ownership of content on the website

We do not claim any right of ownership in the text, files, images, photos, or any other material that you post on the Website (‘Content’). After posting your content on the Website you will continue to retain all your intellectual property ownership rights in such Content and you continue to have the right to use your Content in any way you choose.

We take your privacy very seriously and collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Termination

This agreement will remain in full force and effect while you use the Website. You may terminate this agreement by contacting us and letting us know that you would like your account to be deleted. Please include an email address and your user name. We may terminate your use of the Website at any time without warning and for any reason. Even after termination the disclaimers, indemnities, limitations of liability and general provisions of this agreement will remain in effect.

HarperCollins may also, at its sole discretion and at any time discontinue your use of the Website temporarily or permanently and without notice.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

HarperCollins shall not be responsible for any connection or access to the Website by you or the quality of the transmission passing between you and the Website. You will be responsible for providing your own communications equipment to access the Website via the internet or WAP service and the charges thereon.

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and HarperCollins regarding the use of the Website.

The failure or delay of HarperCollins to exercise or enforce any right in these terms does not waive HarperCollins's right to enforce that right.

These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales which shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

Competition terms and conditions

Please ask a parent or guardian to read through these terms and conditions before entering the competition.

1. No purchase necessary.

2. To enter this competition you must be/have:

a) under 18 years old as of 10/04/08

b) a resident of UK or Eire

c) the consent of a parent or guardian

3. Only one entry per person allowed.

4. To be eligible, entries must be received on or before the closing date of 22/05/08.

5. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost or delayed, or incorrectly filled in.

6. The instructions for entry contained in the adverts publicizing this competition form part of the competition rules.

7. Any personal information (entrant’s name, age and email address) will be used solely in connection with this competition, and in association with this website, and will not be disclosed to any third party, except for the purpose of fulfilling the prize where applicable.

8. If you have asked us not to contact you again we will destroy your data after this competition has ended and the winner has been contacted.

9. The winners will be selected at random on 29/05/08. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond by 29/06/08 we therefore will reserve the right to contact another entrant.

10. One winner will win the Pink Prize Bundle as advertised on the site.

11. This prize is not exchangeable from cash or any other prize. However, if the prize is not available the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
